All our employees take an active part in environmental protection through careful water and waste management and they take special pride in their contribution to the preservation of the Kupa River.

Gavrilović is fully aware that conviction and goodwill alone are not enough to protect the environment because we know all too well that preservation measures require systematic planning, coordination, and organization. By maintaining operations in such a way so as to reduce our environmental footprint, we also minimize raw material consumption and generate less waste. As a result, our Company, our customers, our suppliers and the local community all benefit.

Sorting waste on the spot in all operations of our company and decreasing the amount of waste to be disposed of in landfills, are the fundamental requirements of the waste-management system. Waste flow, in addition to air and water emissions, are under our permanent control.

After Croatia’s accession to the European Union the market will no longer be limited by state borders and customs. Production and market will be conditioned only by achieving high product quality and conforming to high standards of environmental protection.

This is a challenge to which we can and must respond!

In early March 2009 Gavrilović launched the project of implementing the environmental management system according to the ISO 14001:2004 norm, which is yet another step on our way to the effective preservation of our environment.
